the chicken I made with my mom on sunday
I figured it was about time I wrote about food so this is me, reciting from memory, the chicken that I made with my mom this past Sunday. This was a ridiculous way to cook chicken but it honestly turned out very enjoyable and 10/10 would chef again.
Ingredients:
8 ounces of Kraft red salad dressing (had a funny name) (Catalina?)
1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup flavoring
Some salt
1 jar of mango chutney
8 boneless chicken thighs
If you haven’t picked up on it by now, I’m a bad cook. So this is the level of sophistication we’re working with.
Instructions:
Mix everything except for the chicken together to create your sauce
lay all of your chicken thighs in a pan
cover with sauce
bake for 50 minutes at 400
eat
I fear I may be becoming a caricature of myself but this chicken was actually amazing. It looked horrific (the red dressing gave the chicken a pink Chernobyl quality) but the meat was moist and none of the flavors overpowered each other. The result was a sweet/sour type beat, and although I think we under salted a little bit I am still gladly eating the leftovers for lunch. If you’re pressed for time or want to meal prep for the week, I cannot recommend this recipe enough. I do hope you actually look up the real recipe for this instead of working off of what I have given you. Please let me know if you have any questions.
